General Information
 
The English Speaking Catholic Mission of the Archdiocese
embraces all Mass Centres, assembling to celebrate Holy Mass in English, at St. Benedict’s Church, at the Allerheiligen am Kreuz Kirche, at the crypt in St. Boniface’s Church, the parish hall of St. Rupert’s Church, and all English speaking Catholics/Groups residing in this Archdiocese.
 
The English Speaking Catholic Mission is one of the 25 Missions
for mother tongue language groups,
established by the Archdiocese of München and Freising.
This is a Mission and not a Parish.

Celebrating the Church’s Liturgy and Sacraments
 
Holy Mass is celebrated in English on Sundays and on predetermined
feasts during the week. Please refer the Newsletter distributed after
Holy Mass for all details, or get your copy from the office.
If you have a request for a group/family mass, for a particular day,
occasion, or event etc., please contact the priest at your Mass Centre,
you are welcome.


Mass Intentions and Stipends:
Anyone may offer an intention for Holy Mass.
Your intention is to be submitted in writing to the priest
serving at your Mass Centre, with your request for a particular date.  
The stipend for Holy Mass in the Archdiocese is five Euros. 
This amount is to be given in the Sunday collection
where you attend service and where the Mass is offered.
  
  
The Sacrament of Penance and Confession:
A priest is available to hear confessions on Sundays,
at the St. Benedict’s Church from 1.00 to 2.00 pm.
at the Kreuzkirche confessional from 5.00 to 6.00 pm,
You may also request for confession according to your convenience
by appointment with a priest.
At the Mission Centre, Confessions will be heard only in the Chapel.
  

The Sacrament of Baptism for children:
All children of a Catholic parent are advised to be baptized
in the Church. Before the child is baptized, there is an instruction to be given
to the parents and Godparents. Godparents should be a lady and a gent
who have been baptized in the Catholic Church.
Please contact the priest at your Mass Centre in advance.
In the emergency of death of the child, please request immediately.
 
 
The Sacrament of Holy Communion for children:
Registration by 30th of July. Catechism classes are conducted on
Sundays at the Mission Centre, with a course of instructions
and prayers, followed by Holy Mass at St. Benedict’s Church.
  
   
The Sacraments of the Church for Adults, and from other faiths, etc.
Registration by: 30th of April.
Adults who are not yet baptized in the Catholic Church and who desire
to receive this Sacrament are recommended to register for instructions.
Classes: On the 1st Saturday of the month, 2-4 pm, and weekly reflections
after Sunday Holy Mass at the MC. The course for preparation is a
minimum of two years.
Catechumens are welcome to attend Holy Mass with the community.
Please refrain from receiving Holy Communion.
With and after the approval of the Archbishop, adults may be baptized
and confirmed at the Easter Liturgy and thereafter be in full communion
with the Catholic Church.

The Sacrament of Matrimony
There are spiritual instructions a Marriage Preparation Course for
those who are to be married and other procedures required.
The concerned persons are requested to contact the priest at your
Mass Centre in advance to finalize all details.
 
 
The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick:
Those who are in danger of death from sickness or old age,
and who desire to receive this sacrament, please arrange to
contact the priest at the earliest.
 
 
There are no payments to be made to receive
the Sacraments of the Church at this Mission.
